Science - AP Chemistry

   Crystallography Lab Potassium Ferricyanide Crystals

This course is specifically designed for advanced topics in chemistry taught at a college level and for those students that wish to take the AP standardized exam offered in the spring.  Students who achieve a score of three or better on the exam may receive college credit for the course.  College credit is awarded by the college a student wishes to attend not by New Hope Academy.

The following advanced topics in chemistry will be covered in accordance with the standards set by the College Board in order to successfully pass the AP Chemistry Exam: chemical thermodynamics, molecular geometry and bonding theories, gases, intermolecular forces in liquids and solids,chemical kinetics, chemical eqilibrium, acid-base equilibrium, electrochemistry, nuclear chemistry, organic chemistry.
