Yoga at NHA - Yoga classes at NHA are designed to meet the comfort levels and abilities of individual students. Yoga is an alternative to traditional physical education classes. At NHA, students may choose yoga or gym, or both classes. They all count toward P.E. credits.

In Yoga class, students explore the yoga life from an early age. Through practice of yoga postures, breathing techniques, and meditation, the students are inspired to develop strength, flexibility and body awareness. With patience and focus learned through yoga class, students are able to transfer skills to academic, personal and social situations.
Through the learning process, students become aware of their strengths and weaknesses. With determination, students will reach their highest potential.
By learning about the intelligence of the body, students will understand the life long benefits of healthy eating habits, daily exercise, and the mind - body connection. Yoga practice can be used to nourish the system and restore equilibrium, keep a positive state of mind, and have a deeply restorative impact on the entire body.
