Video Production
In Video Production, students learn about all essential aspects of film-making. They begin by studying classic cinema examples and analyzing the directors technique and style. They learn about the rules for proper filming, lighting and composition then move on to more in-depth areas of study such as storyboarding, screenplay-writing, and conceptual thinking.
Students learn how to properly operate video cameras and become familiar with Final Cut Pro, the industry standard video editing software.
Students who show great interest in video production are asked to help shoot footage of school events like the fall play and spring musical as well as Springfest and Winterfest.
