Pennsylvania businesses can direct their state taxes to
New Hope Academy through the EITC program and have a say in how their tax dollars are spent.
Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program awards tax credits to businesses that make contributions to scholarship organizations. Businesses both large and small can benefit from this tax credit program.
New Hope Academy has been approved as a scholarship organization through the EITC program. A designation to New Hope Academy's scholarship program can provide your company (or a company that you are associated with) a tax credit of up to 90% through the Pennsylvania EITC program. This is a direct tax credit, not a tax deduction!
If a business pays any of the following corporate taxes to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the EITC program allows that business to contribute almost all of those tax dollars to New Hope Academy’s scholarship programs:

Your contribution will be used for need-based financial assistance to help families provide an idividualized education to their children.
Applications for tax credits for fiscal year 2009-2010 (July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010) will be accepted beginning July 2, 2009. Applications will be processed by the PA Department of Community & Economic Development on a first-come/first-served basis by the date submitted until the amount of available tax credits are exhausted (which occurs quickly so please submit your application as soon as possible).
The process is easy; just submit a completed one-page application to the EITC office. The application is available online at www.newPA.com click on “Funding and Program Finder ” then look for the EITC program, on the list in alphabetical order.
