New Hope Academy

Math

The New Hope Academy Math Department offers a comprehensive curriculum of Arithmetic and Pre-Algebra for Middle School age students as well as a diverse selection of math courses for High School level students ranging from Pre-Algebra and Consumer Math through Advanced Statistics and AP Calculus.

Math is taught one on one or in very small groups. Progress is measured by reference to appropriate state standards and/or student IEP goals.  The curriculum is textbook-driven and uses the same up-to-date textbooks currently utilized in area school districts.  Our unique approach and unmatchable environment allow students to learn and master the same material taught in the finest area schools with emphasis on relevant real world applications.

Graphing calculators are used in the upper-level courses and students learn how to use them as supplemental tools to achieve a broader scope of understanding.

Standardized test prep such as the SAT prep are integrated into the curriculum so that students are in a good position to do well.
